Sparta’s Ready-To-Manufacture Or Install Pre-Engineered Service Rig (Workover Rig) Components

Sparta Engineering Pre-Engineered Service Rig Components

At Sparta, our service rig design is optimized for manufacturing and is intended to streamline the fabrication process. Sparta ‘s service rig components can be purchased as self-build, free-stand service rig packages.  These rig packages are for companies knowledgeable and capable of manufacturing mobile steel equipment for use on the structural component of the rig. Sparta’s engineers have spent many years crafting and optimizing the design of the mast and free-stand service rig. This allows fabricators to focus on purchasing and building the auxiliary equipment.

Companies interested in a ready-to-manufacture rig package can choose from one of two options. Each package includes the following service rig components:

Package 1: Complete

The first option is to simply purchase a complete welded but unpainted free stand package. The kit would include everything listed above and it could be shipped to the customer’s fabrication facility fitting and sent to paint with the rest of the rig. This is a good option for shops without a deep understanding of welding high tensile steel structures or ones that don’t want the liability of doing so. The welded components would be manufactured under the same quality program that our complete rig would be done under. This option would include a review of the complete structure by an engineer, some direction of what is required for a front load beam if applicable and engineering certification after completion.

Package 2: Weldable kits

Sparta has access to some of the best manufacturing facilities in Western Canada. These partners have highly efficient material process departments that use large CNC equipment to produce parts. This kit would utilize these partners to produce all the parts required to weld together the parts listed above. This would allow a customer to use their own welders and welding facility to build the structural components as well as the rest of the rig. This package is appropriate for shops that regularly manufacture products using high strength steel and are set up to weld them. This package includes engineering support and the fabrication, welding and layout of the rig as well as the engineering certifications after inspection.
