Spotlight: Manlift Inspection (Scissorlift Inspection)

Inspection of Manlift Rental EquipmentThis picture is Sparta on site doing an annual re-certification of a Genie S-65 Trax manlift. This is a pretty neat off road manlift capable reaching a 65’ platform height and with tracks it can get through any terrain. Annual certification of equipment designed to lift people is required on most major construction sites across Alberta so always double check your equipment certification is up to date prior to taking it on site. This particular piece of equipment falls under the code B354.4 Boom type elevating work platform. These are well built machines so the inspections tend to be pretty fast an easy. We do catch occasional missed welds from the factor along with fatigue/abuse cracking which is most common around the connection between the boom and the basket.
